Water and Wastewater Services Inspector
Inspect installations of water services by contractors or department personnel to ensure compliance with departmental regulations and/or developer subdivision agreements. The positions essential duties are:
Conducts inspections of water and wastewater mains and service connections performed by contractors.
Work involves driving to construction sites and taking measurements to mark site diagrams with location of lines and couplings.
Compares specifications to site and notes changes.
Line locates (water and sewer service for new installations).
Inspects construction materials for proper standards of quality.
Monitor for and advises supervisor of illegal connections, broken meter covers, etc.
GPS new infrastructure to keep GIS system up to date.
Resolves construction issues with contractors and other inspectors according to plans and specifications.
