SALARY RANGE: $28 - $38 per hour DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

in 1979 when it became the principal contractor for the remediation of
the Love Canal site, Niagara Falls, New York. Sevenson is a nationally
recognized environmental remediation contractor, ranked No. 4 on
Engineering and News Record in the country, working with clients to
remediate contaminated sites across the United States. The daily work
will include: ' Control equipment and monitor processes ' Run tests to
make sure that the processes are working correctly ' Keep records of
water quality and other indicators ' Operate and maintain the pumps and
motors that move water and wastewater through filtration systems '
Adjust the amount of chemicals, such as Sodium Hypochlorite, Sodium
Hydroxide, and Sulfuric Acid, being added to the water ' Use
computerized systems to monitor plant processes ' Fix chemical leaks '
Keep records that document compliance ' Perform grounds keeping,
including snow removal with plow, snow blower, and shovel; painting of
structures, pipes, and equipment; and operate various hand and power
tools ' Participate in routine custodial duties as needed for building
and grounds maintenance SKILLS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED: ' Be able to follow
written, spoken instructions and diagrams ' Be able to follow health
and safety regulations ' Be accurate and observant at all times ' Have
good numeracy skills ' Be practical and comfortable using new
technology, including computers ' Be able to solve problems ' Work
well as part of a team and on their own initiative ' Have a good level
of fitness and stamina ' Be willing to cope with unpleasant smells and
substances ' Be prepared to work unsocial hours ' Must be available to
work on any shift either day or night as the Water Treatment Plant is a
24 hour a day, 7 day a week operation ' Must have a working telephone
for callback ' Must obtain Transportation Worker Identification
Credential (TWIC) ' Must have a valid driver's license ' OSHA HAZ
WHOPPER certificate a plus SALARY/BENEFITS: An employee's salary is
based on commensurate experience and other qualifications. Extensive
