These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 year(s) of experience in water and wastewater treatment operations management OR AA Degree in Advanced Wastewater Treatment Operations

  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word
Duties:

Duties include weekly sample runs of about 10 hours round trip. Beginning at Grant Grove Village Maintenance of Kings Canyon NP with a pickup, continuing to Sequoia NP with a pickup at Clover Creek Wastewater Facility, continuing to Ash Mountain (Park HQ) for a final pickup. Then ultimate delivery at Fruit Growers Laboratory in Visalia, CA.

  • Weekly oversight of wastewater processes throughout parks. Travel to two locations. Grant Grove Wastewater Treatment Facility (GGWWTF) and Clover Creek Wastewater Treatment Facility (CCWWTF).    20%
  • GGWWTF oversight. Weekly visit to monitor treatment processes. Inspect records for deficiencies, anomalies. Recommend corrective actions. Annotate notes of visit in plant logbook. Report findings to Utilities Supervisor. Will include once monthly visits to Cedar Grove WW TF.   40%
  • CCWWTF oversight. Weekly visit to monitor treatment processes. Inspect records for deficiencies, anomalies. Recommend corrective actions. Annotate notes of visit in plant logbook. Report findings to Utilities Supervisor. Will include once monthly visits to Ash Mountain WW TF.   40%
