    ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Washington Area Safety Manager, we'll count on you to:Demonstrate proficiency in implementing and reviewing site‑specific safety plans and programsSupport and assist the company's field staff and Project/Construction Managers in SH&E requirementsShow proficiency in SH&E auditing and inspection protocols, behavior‑based safety observation program implementation, and development and review of Job Hazard AnalysisBe proficient in SH&E training and able to facilitate this training as requiredDisplay working knowledge of SH&E regulatory codes to include both federal and state standardsPartner with the Area Manager to establish best practices and procedures in support of SH&E requirements within an office and field environmentPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsPrevious SH&E work experience in construction, mining/tunneling, water infrastructure, DOT, Oil and Gas and/or A&E firmRequired QualificationsBachelor or Technical degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene or a closely related fieldA minimum of 5 years experience in Safety Health and Environment fieldCertification in one or more SH&E fields such as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP), or equivalent SH&E Project/Program Management experienceExtensive knowledge of OSHA and ANSI regulatory standardsKnowledge and application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint softwareTeam‑oriented with proven oral and written skills to support company SH&E policy and procedural requirementsAcceptance of an active participant role in an employee‑owned culture is mandatoryBenefitsWe provide a comprehensive benefits package that promotes employee ownership, health, performance, and success.
