PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to enter and validate information on the computer and to maintain warrant records. Serve as the Custodian of Records, oversee and maintain SCCDOC contracts, and complete Sunshine Law requests in a timely manner.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs data entry; sorts, codes, and verifies information; prepares documents for data entry and proper indexing; gathers information; determines if information meets established criteria.

Entering, validating, and revising warrant information on the department computer, Jail App management System, Case Net, and Microsoft Word.

Maintaining records; files records according to filing system sequence; retrieves files; creates, updates, edits, deletes, verifies, adjusts, and closes records; certifies records; serves as custodian of records.

Printing criminal histories for warrant entry and for potential employees and maintaining a dissemination log.

Preparing, typing, and sending letters, court proceeding results, state notifications, and various other forms.

Serve as the Custodian of Records.

Photocopying documents; operates shredder, fax machine, and printers.

Processing legal documents to hold suspects in another jurisdiction.

Submit maintenance requests to facilities management.

Serve as liaison between department and courts, PA's office, MDC facilities, and other jurisdictions, in a limited capacity.

Send and respond to law enforcement inquiries.

Enter Municipal County warrants, traffic, misdemeanor, and felony warrants.

Assist with the warrant validation process within guidelines.

Periodically assist Missouri State Highway Patrol officials in auditing warrants entered MULES/NCIC.

Files warrants and other documents as needed.

Assist the medical department with organizing all medical files.

Assist with special projects and other administrative duties.

Serve as the Custodian of Records.

Assist with intakes of court clients, including screenings and assessments, who have been ordered to participate in an electronic monitoring program (GPS).

Schedule orientation and installation appointments for all new referrals.

Assist with maintaining daily equipment alerts, such as communications and inspections of equipment as needed.

Maintain SCCDOC contracts for accuracy and keep administrators abreast of contract renewal needs.

Assist with developing RFP's for contractual bids.

Complete Sunshine Law Request in a timely manner.

Ability to telecommute on occasion.

Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: General/technical high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Certifications: M.U.L.E.S certification required.

Job Experience: 1-3 years of experience Two years of experience with data entry and/or significant word processing, and experience dealing with the public.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge and training in basic office procedures, keyboarding, and computers are required.

Employment is contingent on successfully passing a full criminal background check.
