Transform the every day with us The Warehouse and Logistics Manager will play a crucial role in managing the entire spectrum of warehouse operations and logistics processes at our Siemens Low Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment Manufacturing facility in Grand Prairie, TX. This role encompasses the full lifecycle of material management-from the receipt and storage of raw materials and incoming components to their distribution throughout the plant for production, and ultimately, the shipment of completed equipment to customers. The successful candidate will ensure that all warehouse activities, internal material flows, and outbound logistics are executed safely, efficiently and accurately, while optimizing material handling processes and leading continuous improvement initiatives improving the overall productivity and success of the facility. You will make an impact by: Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure that all warehouse and logistics operations adhere to Siemens' safety standards and local regulations. Promote a safe working environment by conducting regular safety inspections, training staff, and enforcing safety protocols. Manage environmental compliance related to material handling, storage, and transportation activities. Team Leadership and Development: Manage the warehouse and logistics organization, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute to the team's success. Develop clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for all team members, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for training and development. Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing warehouse and logistics processes, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency. Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, improve workflows, and increase productivity. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive operational excellence. Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee all day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment. Ensure the accurate and efficient handling of materials and products, maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to optimize space utilization, reduce waste, and improve efficiency. Internal Logistics and Material Handling: Manage the internal flow of materials from the warehouse to various production areas, including raw materials, internal fabrication, and assembly processes. Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components, minimizing downtime and production delays. Implement and maintain effective material handling systems and equipment to streamline operations. Transportation and Shipment Coordination: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of incoming and outgoing shipments, including domestic and international transportation. Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods. Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, including import/export requirements and customs documentation. Import/Export Compliance: Ensure that all import/export activities comply with local and international regulations, including accurate and timely documentation. Work closely with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth cross-border transactions. Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and implement necessary adjustments to procedures. You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Expert knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling systems, and transportation logistics. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
