Job Summary

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, material handling, and shipping in a safe and efficient manner. This role operates forklifts and other warehouse equipment, maintains accurate inventory records using Oracle and other warehouse systems, and ensures materials are received, stocked, picked, packed, loaded, unloaded, and shipped efficiently to support production.

 

Job Description

  • Assist in shipping or receiving when needed
  • Read appropriate warehouse documentation to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
  • Move items to appropriate areas
  • Record amounts of materials or items moved into the computer database
  • Assist in conducting physical inventories and cycle counts
  • Assist with maintaining inventory records by posting materials received and disbursed, writing shortage lists, and distributing them as required
  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, and safe manner
  • Responsible for safely operating the warehouse machinery and reporting any equipment maintenance or problems to your immediate supervisor
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures
  • Facility/Group-Specific Responsibilities
  • Strong Knowledge of Oracle
  • Ability to work with heavy equipment.
  • Capability to learn on the job and apply
  • Ensures availability of material on assembly floor for all capital builds
  • Performs other work-related tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor

  • Technical Competencies
    • Able to operate an MSCA (Oracle) Gun
    • Operates both JIB and Overhead cranes
    • Must be able to safely lift up to 45 pounds
    • May use other business systems (ERP/MRP)
    • Uses office copier to scan and copy documentation
    • Wears a Fall Protection Harness when performing work at heights
    • Uses company software to include: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
    • Writes, sends, and receives Emails to internal Customers / Employees
    • Operates Class II & IV Forklifts (Hyster 50-170 & Order Picker / Manlift / Reach truck)
    • Writes, sends, and receives emails from internal company employees and external Customers

 

Skills Required

  • Two years of previous warehouse experience
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Limited (less than 5%) travel
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours
  • Exposed to loud noise while in the warehouse
  • Exposed to moving parts while on the shop floor
  • Must be flexible to work overtime when needed
  • Exposed to occasional hot and/or cold weather depending on outside climate conditions and warehouse temperature since the shop floor is neither air-conditioned nor heated

 

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High school diploma or GED

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen & criminal background check
  • Schedule: Day Shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM), Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed

 

Pay Rate/Salary

  • $21-$23/hr. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors
