Warehouse Supervisor
Our client is a large World Class Tier I automotive supplier with nearly 20,000 employees. This successful company is in the process of filling a Warehouse Supervisor position for their plant located in the Cottondale, AL area. This is a full time direct position.
The successful candidate will have worked as Warehouse Supervisor, Warehousing Supervisor or similar within a high paced manufacturing environment for at least 3 years. Automotive supplier environment experience would be preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervision of warehouse staff and daily activities
- Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity
- Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
- Ordering supplies & maintaining suitable inventory levels
- Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries to ensure accuracy
- Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any/all necessary documentation
- Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Performing daily inspection of warehouse grounds
- Coordinating and maintaining equipment as needed
- Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers
Qualifications:
Background Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management
- Time management skills and the ability to delegate
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software
- Problem-solving skills
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Associates degree (or equivalent) in business administration, logistics or supply chain management
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management position.
