A healthcare supply chain and logistics operation is seeking a dependable and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse personnel, daily workflow, inventory processes, receiving, shipping, picking, packing, and overall warehouse operations. This role is ideal for someone with material management experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
This is a full-time, daytime position with no weekends.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising warehouse staff, assigning work, monitoring productivity, supporting employee training, and ensuring supplies are processed accurately and efficiently. This role helps ensure healthcare teams have the supplies needed to provide high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, comfortable leading a team, and able to troubleshoot operational issues while supporting performance goals and warehouse standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise warehouse personnel and assign daily workflow
Oversee receiving, shipping, picking, packing, and warehouse supply processing
Ensure clinicians and healthcare teams receive the supplies needed to support patient care
Work with management to provide quality reports, operational updates, and feedback to warehouse staff
Interact regularly with management and other functional teams within the organization
Oversee new employee training and ensure job functions are reviewed, understood, and documented
Develop team members to solve day-to-day operational issues and meet performance goals
Support warehouse employee development plans, performance reviews, and ongoing feedback
Provide direction to material handlers to ensure efficient workflow in receiving and shipping areas
Troubleshoot receiving and shipping concerns, identify root causes, and help prevent reoccurrence
Ensure receiving areas, shipping areas, aisles, racks, and workspaces remain clean, organized, and free of hazards
Run reports, review KPIs, monitor performance, and help implement improvement plans
Direct staff in routine cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies
Perform and oversee physical inventory activities
Conduct audits to ensure job assignments are completed accurately and according to company standards
Promote and maintain a safe working environment for all employees
Perform duties in compliance with safety policies, procedures, and OSHA standards
Operate a forklift or other powered industrial truck as needed, with required certification
Perform material handler duties as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
At least one year of material management, warehouse, logistics, inventory, or supply chain experience required
Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Experience in healthcare supply chain, medical distribution, or regulated warehouse environments preferred
Forklift or powered industrial truck experience preferred; certification may be required
Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA standards preferred
Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse, inventory, or reporting systems preferred
HIPAA training and/or a current HIPAA certificate is required
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow all privacy, safety, and compliance requirements in a healthcare supply chain environment
