Coordinates all paperwork related to shipping and receiving. Performs all electronic transactions related to shipping and receiving in SAP Interfaces daily with Customer Service, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Logistics and Distribution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet incoming and outgoing drivers, verify pick-up and purchase order (PO) numbers, assign dock doors, communicate wait times based on the schedule, and resolve issues related to the order the drivers are referencing.
  • Release operational orders within SAP and verify daily that all shipped orders are properly posted.
  • Print required customs paperwork for international shipments.
  • Review customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed across warehouses.
  • Identify orders with product shortages and immediately report them to the management team.
  • Coordinate with carriers via email to schedule pick-up dates and times for outbound customer pickup orders.
  • Sort, file, and organize daily inbound and outbound paperwork for up to 3 years to ensure quick retrieval when needed to reference internally or audits.
  • Maintain timely communication with Customer Service and other internal departments as the need arises.
  • Complete additional tasks as requested by the warehouse manager or other members of leadership.

Education and Experience

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years' experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude, high operational accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with truck drivers, internal teams, and all levels of management.
  • Strong computer aptitude and proficiency with experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to manage deadlines effectively under minimal constant supervision.
  • Ability to read, speak, and follow instructions fluently in English
