The Receiving Coordinatorposition supports the warehouse by preparing inbound shipments for processing and verifying the accuracy of receipts before product is posted into inventory. This individual in this role must ensure that Bills of Lading (BOLs) and packing slips are processed correctly, purchase orders are grouped and received and the units/quantities match documentation and system records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists with inbound receiving workflow for LTL, and container deliveries by organizing paperwork (BOLs, packing slips, delivery receipts) and preparing shipments for unloading and processing.

Works with the warehouse team to process delivery paperwork and compile applicable purchase orders into a grouped receiving transaction in the ERP/WMS (e.g., P21/WWMS Group PO process).

Coordinates with the warehouse representatives during receiving to ensure the correct group PO is used and required information is captured accurately (item, unit of measure, quantity, and bin/staging location).

Verify that all units and quantities received match the delivery receipt, BOL/packing slip, and system receipt records prior to final posting to inventory.

Investigate and resolve receipt discrepancies (shortages, overages, incorrect items, damages) by reviewing paperwork, recounting, and partnering with receiving leadership, purchasing, and/or vendor as required.

Update or adjust received quantities when appropriate per established process, ensuring changes are documented and approved before inventory is affected.

Generate, file, and route receiving documentation (e.g., printed receipts, signed paperwork) in accordance with warehouse and logistics procedures.

Maintain accurate, timely transaction entries—ensuring receiving activity is recorded in real time and that all receipts meet internal controls.

Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring receiving errors and recommending process or training enhancements.

Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.

 

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required.

1+ years of experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control, logistics, or a related role (or equivalent combination of experience and training) required.

Experience using Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) and/or Warehouse Wireless Management System (WWMS) transactions for receiving, preferred.

Experience with group PO/container receiving and high-SKU, high-volume inbound operations, preferred.

Knowledge of barcode identification best practices and Radio Frequency (RF) scanning workflows, preferred.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with frequent interruptions.

Strong attention to detail and ability to verify quantities, SKUs/models, and units of measure with a high degree of accuracy.

Basic computer proficiency (ERP/WMS, RF scanning, Outlook and Excel ).

Ability to read and interpret shipping/receiving documentation (BOLs, packing slips, purchase orders, delivery receipts).

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with all warehouse and office co-workers and managers.

Basic math skills and ability to perform counts, reconcile variances, and document corrections.
