Responsibilities:

1st Shift - Monday through Friday - 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Pay Grade: HR130

Starting Pay: $22.90/hr

Now Hiring at our Cranberry Township, PA Manufacturing plant for a Warehouse Operator/Water Spider.  This key role, reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, and requires high motivation, strong attention to detail supporting efficient movement of materials within the production environment.  

 

The successful candidate will work an 8-hour daylight shift and contribute to maintaining a smooth and organized workflow from the warehouse to the production floor.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the efficient movement of materials within the production environment. This includes tasks such as part delivery, material display, box cutting, part replenishment, finished good delivery, and supporting pickers as needed.
  • Will provide clear communication with production and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations and address logistical needs effectively.
  • Move and organize binned parts in their designated locations after they are dropped at the work cell.
  • Retrieve materials from boxes and place them in the correct bins for easy access.
  • Cut open boxes as needed for easier access to materials.
  • Efficiently break down and dispose of boxes after use to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Replenish parts on fast walls by placing bins on rip racks as a visual guide, ensuring parts are easy to retrieve.
  • Handle hot parts by quickly picking or delivering parts that have just arrived, ensuring that TOs (Transfer Orders) are followed.
  • Transport racks of finished production orders to the shipping area in a timely manner.
  • Provide assistance to the pickers during downtime, ensuring all primary tasks are completed before offering support.
  • Propose and communicate route adjustments with Joe/David to optimize material handling.
  • Actively participate in logistics walkthroughs for process improvement.
  • Work closely with group leads (production and warehouse) to ensure alignment on priorities and efficient communication.
  • Identify and interact with leads in each area to minimize confusion and ensure smooth operations.
  • Complete and maintain relevant paperwork, by sorting, filing, organizing, and bar code scanning. Manually enter data in the computer system, including customer invoicing and recording serial numbers.
  • Pick, pack and prepare outgoing shipments for customer orders using a variety of shipping methods. Schedule freight carriers for outbound shipments daily. 
  • Ensure proper shipping standards to reduce risk of product damage in transit.  Comply with the US Department of Transportation and International Air Transport Association Dangerous Goods Regulation.
Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • 3 months of manufacturing and/or warehouse/logistics experience.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members across departments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Good hearing and vision needed.
  • Ability to:
    • read, write and speak basic English.
    • walk, stand, reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 lbs.
    • perform repetitive tasks.
    • wear Safety Shoes (steel toe or composite) and safety glasses and/or goggles during your shift.
    • frequently communicate and efficiently. 
    • meet deadlines.

Preferred:

  • 6 months of manufacturing and/or warehouse/logistics experience.
  • Familiarity with basic inventory management systems.
  • Experience with material handling, inventory management, or warehouse tasks preferred.
  • Experience working with WMS, SAP, Microsoft Office.
