Warehouse Manager

Essential Duties

Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs all work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a safe work environment.
• Maintains receiving, shipping, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Shares responsibility for controlling inventory levels by conducting physical counts ensuring all locations are cycle counted quarterly.
• Responsible for the planning and execution of physical inventory quarterly. Compares physical counts to SAP and reconciles per Kingspan standards.
• Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Works closely with Production, Planning, Transportation and Logistics teams to ensure work schedules are organized and product is stored safely.
• Responsible for First in First out (FIFO) product rotation.
• Conducts training of all warehouse employees and Production Lift Truck Operators (LTO), to ensure compliance of all processes and procedures.
• Manages timecard approval of all direct reports.
• Manages/Leads continuous improvement projects, including facility improvement.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in logistics or management plus at least 5 years of experience running a warehouse; or High School Diploma or GED plus at least 10 years of experience running a warehouse. Prefer someone with at least 2 years of RF Scanner warehouse management experience.

SAP - Experience - Highly desired.

Must have:

• Experience with business computer applications (Microsoft Office).
• SAP or similar software experience.
• Knowledge and practice of modern manufacturing and warehousing techniques.
• Strong leadership skills, analytical, and problem solving ability.
• Strong organizational skills; strict attention to detail; ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Strong communication skills, effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• The ability to deal with highly complex issues and to stay calm when under pressure.
