Summary:

The Warehouse Manager at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Warehouse team supporting efforts to efficiently manage the flow of goods through the warehouse while meeting customer demands and maximizing operational effectiveness. This position involves implementing measures to ensure the accuracy of inventory records, maintaining a safe working environment for warehouse staff and ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards, and continuously evaluating and improving the layout and design of the warehouse to enhance efficiency and productivity in receiving, storing, and shipping goods and is ideal for someone who is analytical, organized, and a strong leader. 

Key Responsibilities


  1. Personnel Management and Development: 
    • Manage schedule planning
    • Develop team building activities
    • Identify and utilize a new hire trainer or trainers to teach new employees how to perform their job accurately
    • Work each position on the crew on a rotation basis in order to build in order pull quality, efficiency, and productivity 
  2. Production and Operations Management: 
    • Manage production goals and error reduction goals
    • Monitor in-bound receipt activity/schedules
    • Set productivity goals and monitor progress
    • Oversee all packing and shipping processes to ensure quality and timeliness of delivery to clients
    • Supervise the maintenance of a fulfillment materials log, tracking all material usage for packing and shipping in the fulfillment area
    • Ensure appropriate par levels of on-hand inventory are maintained
    • Set up policies, procedures, and metrics in the warehouse and pick/pack areas to measure productivity performance
    • Develop warehouse layout for efficient moving of inventory
    • Maintain inventory variances and levels via the use of a computerized tracking system
    • Reconcile the perpetual balance in the computerized tracking system to the physical quantity on-hand
    • Ensure full-service loading process compliance
    • Stay within budget and follow established key figures 
  3. Safety and Compliance Management: 
    • Manage expense and asset protection
    • Manage plant security and employee accountability
    • Ensure compliance with operational procedures
    • Keep inventory investment to a practical minimum
    • Assist with periodic inventory counts
    • Ensure warehouse facilities comply with all OSHA safety guidelines for comparable facilities and work environments
    • Work with the safety manager to maintain safety for team members, enforce company safety policies, and maintain a commitment to all safety programs at all times
    • Identify the causes of product losses and take corrective action
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

Education and Experience
  • Required
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Preferred
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish
    • Fork-Lift Certification
    • Vocollect Knowledge
