RESPONSIBILITIES:
- · Direct day-to-day activities across multiple warehouse sites and 3PL providers
- · Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping functions for accuracy and productivity
- · Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization
- · Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
- · Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution
- · Recruit, train, and lead warehouse staff including supervisors, leads, and material handlers
- · Promote a culture focused on safety, accountability, and teamwork
- · Monitor performance metrics such as productivity, accuracy, and on-time fulfillment
- · Identify operational improvements, efficiencies, and cost-reduction opportunities
- · Partner with internal departments to align warehouse operations with company goals
- · Coordinate inbound shipments with vendors and carriers to ensure timely delivery
- · Manage outbound distribution to customers and facilities with a focus on accuracy and service levels
- · Address shipping issues, delays, or discrepancies proactively
- · Work with transportation partners to improve routing, scheduling, and freight spending
- · Support continuous improvement initiatives across logistics processes
Experience with a regulated environment is a must, and managing a team of material handlers, yard jockeys, including trailers and auxiliary sites. Scheduling and paperwork for deliveries is a critical piece of this position. This person has responsibility for performance management of the Warehouse team, in addition to logistics management of day-to-day operations, responsible for maintaining accurate inventories and working closely with production management and supply chain.
