Warehouse Manager | Grand Rapids, MI

Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grand Rapids that are seeking skilled Warehouse Managers. Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials.
Implement and maintain inventory control systems to ensure accuracy and minimize waste.
Lead, train, and manage a team of warehouse personnel, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for all warehouse activities.
Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality departments to optimize material flow and meet production schedules.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
Analyze warehouse performance data and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
5+ years of experience in warehouse management within a manufacturing environment
Proven ability to implement and optimize warehouse management systems (WMS)
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team of warehouse personnel
Certification in APICS CSCP or CPIM preferred

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with automated warehouse systems (AS/RS, AGVs).
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin).
Experience with a WMS implementation or upgrade.
