About AV Stumpfl Inc
AV Stumpfl is an award-winning Austrian company that designs, manufactures and markets a range of high-performance mobile and installation projection screens and media server software for professional and business applications.
As a family business, its founders started the company out of a passion for the advancement of presentation and installation technologies.
The Role
The Warehouse Manager owns the bridge between the warehouse floor and the operational systems that drive the business. This is a part floor, part office role, combining hands-on team supervision with active involvement in process development, ERP discipline, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will work as part of a broader leadership team with a real stake in how the organization runs, not just the warehouse. A solid operational framework is already in place; this role enforces it and helps improve it. The role maintains close working relationships with the Head of Sales (Screens) and Director of Media Servers to ensure storage, handling, and packaging standards reflect the quality our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the warehouse team and all warehouse activities (receiving, inbound QC, inventory control, storage, picking, packing, and shipping) in accordance with established processes and location standards, while maintaining a hands-on floor presence.
- Execute accurate ERP transactions in NetSuite for all receiving and shipments, coordinate outbound logistics and freight in line with carrier requirements and QC standards, and ensure all shipping documentation is complete; flag discrepancies to the Admin & Operations Team promptly.
- Actively participate in the local team in defining, documenting, and improving warehouse processes, SOPs, and workflow standards; translate office-side decisions into consistent floor-level execution.
- Collaborate with the Heads of Sales (Screens) and Director for Media Servers on product-specific storage, handling, and packaging standards to protect product quality, longevity, and customer experience.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through structured cycle counts, reconciliations, and annual physical inventory.
- Develop and monitor KPIs including order accuracy, on-time shipment rate, and inventory variance; report findings to the Admin & Operations Team.
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of 4–8 warehouse associates; set clear performance expectations and hold the team accountable to daily execution standards.
- Approve and manage team PTO and daily scheduling
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards at all times.
- Communicate proactively across the team and with Sales on issues, delays, and discrepancies — the warehouse does not operate in isolation.
- Address performance and conduct issues directly, promptly
- Assess, develop, and mentor the existing warehouse team, including a floor-level associate in a supervisory capacity, with a focus on building long-term capability.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5–8 years of warehouse operations experience, including at least 3 years in a hands-on supervisory role leading a small team.
- Experience working within or alongside an operations, admin, or process-oriented team, with ERP expertise, and comfortable bridging floor-level execution with office-side documentation, reporting, and process work.
- Demonstrated track record of maintaining inventory accuracy and operational consistency across receiving, storage, and fulfillment functions.
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Strong hands-on proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred; Dynamics 365 a plus), with the ability to support process development and documentation beyond day-to-day transaction entry.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations with the ability to work effectively within defined process frameworks and contribute to their ongoing improvement.
- Experience driving inventory accuracy and implementing inventory control procedures.
- Solid experience with freight coordination, carrier requirements, and shipping documentation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold a small team accountable.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and personally accountable.
- Comfortable operating within an established system, someone who finds clarity in structure and improves it through feedback, not reinvention.
- Collaborative and communicative, with a transparent and direct working style.
