Warehouse Manager (5852)

American Construction Metals (ACM) is a rapidly growing manufacturing Strategic Business Unit of ABC Supply and is currently seeking a Shipping Manager.
 

In this role, the Warehouse Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager. This position’s primary responsibility is to effectively manage and prioritize customer deliveries and the details of those deliveries. Additionally, this position will work with ACM’s warehouse, manufacturing and customer service departments to ensure on time deliveries while providing superior customer service.

Specific duties may include:

• Scheduling routes in compliance with company policy and DOT requirements

• Collaborating with customer service department on any freight claims for goods damaged in transit

• Controlling delivery times using Xora and GPS

• Analyzing current transportation and operations practices to determine process and cost improvement opportunities

• Processing shipment documentation

• Developing, formatting and publishing weekly and/or monthly key performance indicators that are related to freight related services and measures

• Acting as a liaison between customer service and warehouse departments

• Communicate effectively with operations and logistics managers
   

Specific qualifications include:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing and/or logistics leadership role

• Knowledge and experience with preventative maintenance scheduling is required

• Previous experience with JD Edwards(JDE) or Oracle procurement systems

• DOT documentation experience

• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lead and works well under pressure

Physical Demand: 

• Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.

Work Environment: 

• 100% manufacturing setting
• Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
• Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery.

Annual Salary Information

$70,000 - 80,000 annually. Based on experience & qualifications.
