Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and supervise a team of warehouse associates, pickers, packers, and material handlers, including training, scheduling, performance management, and daily task assignment.
• Oversee end-to-end fulfillment processes: receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing to meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs) and customer expectations.
• Manage inventory control activities, including cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and maintaining high accuracy levels (target 99%+ where applicable).
• Ensure compliance with safety standards (e.g., OSHA), company policies, and regulatory requirements; conduct safety audits and promote a culture of safe work practices.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., customer service, procurement, transportation) to resolve issues, optimize workflows, and support on-time delivery.
• Monitor warehouse operations for efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements, including potential automation or lean techniques.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time shipping, productivity, and inventory turnover; prepare regular reports for management.
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and equipment functionality; manage supplies and report on space utilization.
• Handle escalated customer or carrier issues related to shipments and fulfillment. • Assist with physical inventories, audits, and special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and basic ERP tools preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a high-volume environment while achieving productivity and quality targets.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, lean warehousing principles, and basic data analysis (e.g., Excel/spreadsheets).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, and work flexible hours including occasional weekends or overtime based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in e-commerce, 3PL, or retail distribution environments.
• Certification in logistics/supply chain (e.g., CPIM, forklift train-the-trainer) or Lean Six Sigma.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives that reduced costs or improved turnaround times.
