We are thrilled to announce that B. Robinson LLC is now part of our organization, GridSource! We are actively looking for a Warehouse Laborer for our Leander, TX location.

As a Warehouse Laborer for B Robinson Inc, you play a crucial role in the efficient operation of the warehouse by managing inventory, handling materials, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, organizing materials, and assisting with the preparation andfulfillment of orders. Your attention to detail, organization, and commitment to safety will contribute to the overall success of warehouse operations.

This is an Hourly Non-Exempt position that reports to the Fleet Manager.

What you'll do:
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Responsible for turning in deliverables on a daily basis.
  • Must set up and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to proper personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  • Punctuality; Arrive at work on time every day limiting unexcused absences.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and customers.
  • Time management skills are crucial to ensure efficient use of working hours.
  • Timely completion of required documentation
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Manage time appropriately throughout the day, from clock in to clock out.
  • Turning in fuel slips and truck/equipment walkthroughs weekly fully completed
  • Maintain a clean workspace and clean shop/yard space.
  • Possess the physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, working in various weather conditions, and performing manual labor.

What you'll have:
  • Establish and maintain an effective and positive relationship with customers and team members at all times.
  • Present a positive and professional image for the company in all dealings with customers, vendors, employees, and the community. Maintains a professional appearance appropriate for the position and environment.
  • Protect the assets of the company and make prudent decisions to mitigate any and all risks that threaten the assets; this includes but is not limited to the security of all company equipment, vehicles, tools, and materials both at all job sites and at the company's office/warehouse.
  • Adhere to company and Area rules, policies, and procedures for all assigned customer projects.
  • Responsible for the quality of your work and personal conduct, assuring that all company workmanship standards and customer specifications and requirements have been met.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and rules established for the company, required by OSHA regulations, and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
  • Participate in safety training programs and adhere to safety procedures at all times.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Manage inventory in both local and satellite warehouses and truck yards. Responsibilities include:
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of materials and equipment.
  • Organize and maintain inventory in an efficient and orderly manner.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and update inventory records accordingly.
  • Assist in identifying and addressing any inventory discrepancies or issues.
  • Properly hand materials to prepare orders for delivery or pickup, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Safely load and unload materials and equipment using appropriate handling techniques and equipment.
  • Label and mark packages and materials for easy identification and storage.
  • Assist in tracking the movement of materials within the warehouse.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including storage areas, shelves, and aisles.
  • Arrange materials and equipment in designated locations, following established storage procedures.
  • Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment as necessary to move and transport materials.
  • Assist in preparing shipping documents, such as bills of lading and shipping labels.
  • Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Verify the accuracy and condition of outgoing shipments and incoming deliveries.
  • Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines when operating equipment and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Responsible for assuring that all necessary and required paperwork and documentation is properly, correctly, and promptly submitted both for internal company recordkeeping and for documentation required by customers. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Daily reports of work accomplished by job.
  • Employee time sheets by job.
  • Receipts for all field purchases.
  • Fuel purchase receipts.
  • Responsible for use and care of the company's vehicles and all pieces of company equipment assigned. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Assuring that all vehicles and pieces of equipment receive appropriate preventative maintenance at the required intervals.
  • Assuring that all vehicles and equipment are visually inspected on a weekly basis for any damage and/or deficiencies. Reporting any possible issues to the leadership team
  • Assuring tools and test equipment is properly maintained and safely stored.
  • Handle tools, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently. Maintain and organize tools and equipment in proper working condition.
  • Adhere to proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
  • Ensure accuracy in receiving, storing, and distributing materials. Paying attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records and identify any discrepancies.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours and availability, as needed, to accommodate project demands, urgent tasks, and support for team members during peak periods or as the needs of the business dictates.
  • Other Duties as may be assigned.
