Job Summary:
Big Brown Fly Ash is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator to support maintenance and plant operations at our Fairfield, TX facility. This role is responsible for organizing, tracking, issuing, and replenishing spare parts, consumables, tools, and maintenance materials to ensure operational readiness. The coordinator will work closely with the Maintenance, I&E, and Operations teams, maintaining accurate records in inventory systems and supporting efficient maintenance workflows.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·         Receive, store, label, organize, and issue maintenance materials, tools, and spare parts

·         Maintain accurate inventory records, including quantities, locations, and part usage

·         Record inventory movement in designated systems (e.g., spreadsheets, WMS, or QuickBooks) as required

·         Conduct routine cycle counts and participate in full inventory reconciliations

·         Monitor stock levels and notify Maintenance Management of low or critical inventory

·         Coordinate with Maintenance team members to ensure parts are available for scheduled and emergency work

·         Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance warehouse, storage areas, bins, and racking

·         Assist in creating and tracking purchase requests for parts and supplies when authorized

·         Tag serialized or critical items and assist in tagging capitalized assets as required for traceability, asset control, and alignment with the company’s Asset Tagging Policy

·         Follow proper material handling procedures and operate material-handling equipment if trained and authorized (e.g., pallet jack, forklift)

·         Work collaboratively with Mechanics, I&E Technicians, and Supervisors to support maintenance priorities

·         Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or supply chain delays to Maintenance Leadership

·         Support other Site Operations at the request of the immediate Supervisor or Plant Manager

 
 
Qualifications and Requirements: 
·         High school diploma or GED required

·         1+ years of warehouse, inventory, maintenance support, or materials coordination experience preferred

·         Familiarity with industrial or maintenance spare parts environments preferred

·         Ability to use basic computer systems for data entry and inventory tracking (Excel/CMMS/WMS or similar)

·         Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

·         Forklift or material-handling experience preferred; ability to become certified if required

·         Strong communication skills with the ability to work professionally with cross-functional teams

·         Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
·         Work is performed in an industrial facility, including time in maintenance storage areas, warehouse spaces, and field environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, outdoor elements, and operational hazards

·         May involve standing or sitting for extended periods, bending, climbing, lifting boxes and parts, using hand tools, operating material-handling equipment, and working around heavy machinery

·         Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights or in confined spaces if required, and perform physical tasks

·         Use of communication devices or computer systems may be required

·         PPE must be worn and all safety protocols followed
