WAREHOUSE EMPLOYEE
JOB SUMMARY
Warehouse personnel are responsible for a multitude of tasks within Ocean Cold LLC's warehouse. The warehouse staff will be required to work in extreme cold environments and operate electric forklifts / reach lifts in that environment. They will be working with the Warehouse Management Software (WMS) Footprint on both desktop computers and rugged mobile devices. Warehouse employees will maintain, manage, and organize inventory in the cold storage as well as within Footprint. The warehouse staff will work in teams and individually. They must be able to communicate effectively with team members and leaders. All warehouse employees are responsible for the operating efficiency of their equipment through proper use, maintenance, and good judgment. They must also comply with all company good manufacturing practices and safety procedures.
Subset – Put Away
Description
Put Away Teams are Warehouse Employees that are responsible for taking received product and putting it into a proper location the warehouse. They are Footprint users and scan each pallet into their location. The Put Away team is in charge of organizing different product lines and materials in the warehouse to ensure FIFO (first in first out) and proper material separation. This includes allergen mitigation to remain compliant with BRC standards. All teams are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Subset – Loads
Description
Loads Teams are Warehouse Employees that are responsible for staging and loading product for outbound shipments. They load trailers / containers either by forklift or by hand depending on customer requirements. They are Footprint users and that complete shipping tasks for outbound orders. The Loads team is responsible for manifesting shipments which include documenting case counts, gross weight, and customer required information. As part of staging orders, the Loads team will complete specialized tasks such as restacking or repalletizing product per customer specifications and applying customer labeling. All teams are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Subset – Repack
Description
Repack Teams are Warehouse Employees that are responsible for working with the Clear Ocean production crew with regards to the repack lines. They will supply bulk packed product from the warehouse to the production crews in order to be packed into a finished product. The Repack Teams will maintain accurate logs of product delivered to the production crews and adhere to all quality control standards required for that production line. All teams are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
REQUIRED: Extra duties as necessary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM POSITION
· Must be forklift certified through Ocean Companies
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time
· Must be able to communicate in basic English
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND PROTECTIVE GEAR
Cold weather gear, boots, gloves, hairnets, safety vest, tape, box cutters, computers, and forklifts.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
Exposed to ambient and extreme cold temperatures.
WORK PATTERN
During peak season will work up to 12-hour shifts and up to 6 days per week.
During slow season will work up to 8 hours shifts and up to 5 days per week.
