The Janitor will maintain cleanliness and safety in buildings, grounds, parking areas, and warehouse/dock spaces under supervision.
- Perform heavy cleaning tasks such as floor scrubbing, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.
- Conduct routine maintenance, clean grounds, and report repairs or pest control issues.
- Seasonally remove ice and snow from walkways and parking lots.
- Ensure grounds are litter-free, follow safety protocols, and report hazards.
- Operate cleaning equipment, including steamers and scrubbers, and possibly clean trailers or railcars.
- Follow instructions, solve routine problems, and work independently, sometimes overtime.
- Adhere to OSHA standards and safety procedures, and demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (preferred) or at least one year of related experience. Physical requirements involve frequent hand use, walking, standing, and exposure to cold environments. The estimated pay rate is $20.15/hour.
