Summary:

  • Location: Parsippany, NJ
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Work Mode: Onsite at 700 Parsippany Road
  • Hours: 8am to 5pm EST


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor active purchase orders from placement through final delivery to ensure alignment with committed delivery dates
  • Follow up with suppliers on order acknowledgments, lead times, shipment status, and delivery commitments
  • Maintain accurate records of purchasing activity, including order updates, schedule changes, and supplier communications
  • Proactively identify potential delays or supply risks and communicate issues to buyers, requestors, and other stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Support mitigation efforts for delivery issues, including coordination of expedited shipments when required
  • Notify the buyer and/or internal requestor when supplier delivery dates will not meet required need dates
  • Assist with invoice follow-up activities, including tracking and helping resolve blocked or delayed invoices
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc reports related to vendor performance, delivery status, and material logistics
  • Ensure purchasing information in ERP/MRP systems remains current, accurate, and complete
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, finance, production, logistics, and other internal teams as needed


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, expediting, logistics, supply chain, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a high volume of transactional activities with accuracy and timeliness
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working with ERP and/or MRP systems
  • Ability to respond effectively under pressure
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain environment
  • Familiarity with supplier management and order tracking processes
  • Experience supporting invoicing or resolving purchase order/invoice discrepancies
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
