Schedule is 8 AM - 4:45 PM M-F
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Help manage the inventory activities of the Indianapolis inventory warehouse. This consists of warehouse organization/layout, assigning part locations, ensuring that all material is stored, picked, and issued accurately and on time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies.
· Follow processes, work instructions, MSPs, and other written and/or verbal instructions.
· Assist with housekeeping and the ongoing orderly arrangement of the inventory area.
· Operate a powered forklift
· Assure that shipping counts match packing documents and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
· Assist with the packaging and paperwork of outbound goods.
· Review "to be shipped" reports and production schedules to prepare and deliver on time all equipment jobs, kits, and spare parts assemblies.
· Monitor inventories as needed.
· Assess WH capacity/constraints & make adjustments.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
· Assist all departments with their parts-related needs and issues.
· Assist with cycle counts.
· Perform monthly inspections of inventoried items with a shelf life.
· Pick & issue parts from inventory to jobs or sales orders; pack parts for shipment as needed.
· Package Dimer and Silane, following work instructions and maintain all associated log sheets, check lists, and maintenance requirements.
· May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
· Initiate changes designed to improve the control and efficiency of the inventory department.
· Sign for package receipts.
· Store incoming parts into the warehouse accurately & efficiently.
· Receive, unpack, store, distribute, verify, and sign for the proper count and content of deliveries.
· Complete rejection reports for inadequately received goods.
· Receive incoming RMA items, ensuring that inventory is properly adjusted by the transactions, and forward paperwork correctly and timely to allow credits to be processed.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of two years related experience.
BASIC SKILLS:
· Proficient with Syteline
· Able to speak, read, and write English.
· Ability to clearly communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
· Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Ability to deal with problems involving moderately complex variables in standardized situations.
· Ability to perform basic math functions.
· Ability to perform basic computer work
· Ability to operate a powered forklift
· Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision.
· Ability to complete standard forms and spreadsheets compliant to quality procedures.
· Well-organized and detail-oriented.
