Position Summary:
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily operations within an assigned warehouse area to ensure the efficient flow of products, inventory accuracy, and compliance with operational, quality, and food safety standards. This role serves as a key operational resource by monitoring workflow activities, supporting inventory control processes, coordinating staffing priorities, and ensuring warehouse transactions are completed accurately and timely.
The Warehouse Coordinator works closely with warehouse leadership and frontline associates to support productivity, operational execution, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Depending on organizational needs, this role may oversee one or more of the following operational areas across multiple shifts:
- Quality Control
- Receiving
- Inventory Control (Bin Auditing)
- Pick Operations
- LTC Operations
- Main Box / Core Warehouse Operations
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily workflow activities and operational priorities within assigned warehouse departments or specialty areas.
- Monitor inventory movement and ensure warehouse transactions are completed accurately within warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Support inventory control, product organization, put-away, replenishment, and operational execution activities.
- Train, coach, and support warehouse associates on operational procedures, productivity expectations, and workplace standards.
- Monitor operational performance and communicate workflow priorities to warehouse team members.
- Identify and resolve operational concerns or escalate issues to leadership when appropriate.
- Support staffing coordination and labor allocation activities to ensure operational coverage and productivity.
- Assist with inventory audits, cycle counts, product verification, and warehouse organization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, sanitation requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
- Monitor product handling practices to maintain product quality, inventory integrity, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, inventory accuracy, quality, and operational effectiveness.
- Partner with Operations, Inventory Control, Quality Control, Receiving, and warehouse leadership teams to support daily business objectives.
- Assist leadership with operational planning, workflow optimization, and special projects as assigned.
- Perform additional warehouse and operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Prior warehouse, inventory control, logistics, distribution, or operational support experience preferred.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, handheld devices, or inventory management tools preferred.
- Basic computer and data entry skills required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout warehouse operational areas for extended periods of time.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products and materials within company-established guidelines, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in refrigerated, freezer, wet, or varying warehouse temperature environments.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with workplace safety requirements.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Work Environment:
This position operates within warehouse, production, and distribution environments that may include refrigerated, freezer, wet, and fast-paced operational conditions. Associates may be exposed to moving equipment, varying temperatures, and moderate to loud noise levels.
