Warehouse Associate-Shipping and Receiving Position Job Duties
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work in a safe way to achieve day-to-day tasks.
- Provide the Metal Building Insulation production team with proper materials to run daily jobs.
- Responsible for taking finished product from the MBI laminator and storing the product until shipment.
- Handle all incoming deliveries.
- Provide proper paperwork from deliveries to the office. (BOL, Material list, etc)
- Unload all trucks in a timely manner (within 2 hours of backing into a dock door)
- Handle all shipments of products via AMD trucks, LTL, or Full semi-truck loads. This includes all spray foam, MBI, residential insulation (batts/blow/poly), mechanical products, etc.
- Prepare all shipments prior to loads being picked up.
- Includes palletizing product if needed. Additional help will be provided when available to prepare pallets.
- Responsible for checking off each item that is being loaded to verify everything was shipped on the order.
- Responsible for loading all trucks AMD trucks, LTL, or Full Semi-truck loads
- Additional help will be provided when available.
- Responsible for putting all products away and organized in the warehouse.
- Communication with office staff regarding status of shipments and deliveries.
- Work with office on Metal Building production schedule coordination.
- Hours are 7 AM - 4:15 PM unless discussed with management.
- This position needs to be flexible and be willing to help in all areas of the company.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- 2-5 years of successful experience in a related role.
- Forklift experience required.
- Goal-oriented. Competitive. Discipline, motivation, and driven to achieve.
- Time/calendar management. Task prioritization
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate.
- Integrity, hard work, and a Positive team-first attitude. Humility.
- Ability to give and receive feedback.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) would be helpful.
Physical demands:
The physical demands of a warehouse associate include lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching frequently. The worker must be able to perform tasks that involve climbing ladders or stairs, as well as operating forklifts or pallet jacks. Strong manual dexterity is required for handling equipment and performing detailed tasks. Workers must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency. Attention to detail, effective communication, and teamwork are essential in this role. Reasonable accommodations can be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
