Job Summary
As the Warehouse Associate, you will ultimately be responsible for receiving, moving, loading, and unloading equipment, materials, and supplies to support daily operations. You will maintain organized inventory, ensure warehouse and yard efficiency, and support material and tool distribution. Your customers are Congruex field teams, warehouse personnel, and vendors, and you will contribute to company success through inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to)
• Receive materials and tools, verifying order contents for accuracy
• Track inventory for all materials and tools in the warehouse and yard, both manually and electronically
• Move, load, and unload equipment, materials, and supplies using forklifts and other equipment as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and yard
• Perform basic maintenance and coordinate repairs for warehouse and yard equipment
• Clean spills and address safety hazards immediately
• Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations and escalate issues when necessary
• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs
Required Qualifications
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Forklift certification required
• OSHA 10 certification required
Experience
• Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or material handling preferred
• Experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment required
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment
• Strong attention to detail, especially when working with numbers and inventory counts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and warehouse inventory systems
• Ability to use office equipment including copiers, calculators, phones, and related systems
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to read and interpret emails, catalogs, reports, receipts, invoices, and purchase orders
• Strong communication skills with employees, vendors, supervisors, and customers
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to work overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in telecom, utility, or construction warehouse environments
• Experience using inventory management software or warehouse systems
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
• Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work around heavy equipment and machinery
• Must be able to maintain visual and audible awareness of surrounding personnel, vehicles, and equipment
• Must be able to wear required PPE including safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and other applicable safety gear
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and other required screenings
