Now hiring Cherry Picker Operators. Previous experience with cycle counting and operating cherry picker, reach, & sit-down forklifts is required.
Job Title: Cherry Picker Operator
Pay rate: $19.00/hr.
1st shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM OT as needed
2nd shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM OT as needed
Job Duties:
- Off-loading trucks utilizing forklift and pallet jack
- Picks, packs, crates, and ships products to fill orders.
- Conducts light assembly work and performs a variety of tasks under direct supervision.
- Verify that the quality, type, and amount of materials received are accurate
- Breaking down freight – Hand off-loading of product to consolidated put-away location
- Picking product orders – Hand loading product to pallets
- Packaging outbound shipments – Wraps, straps, or over-pack boxing of product
- Manifesting UPS shipments
- Creates bills of lading for truck carriers
- Produce and attach identifying tags to products or shipments
- Fulfills all safety responsibilities
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor/Lead
Requirements:
- High School Degree or equivalent preferred
- Continuously: work in a standing position, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with both LTL and UPS shipping
- Good communication, data entry, basic math, and organization skills
- Experience working with standard hand and power tools
- Proven experience operating (Cherry Picker, Reach, & Sit Down) forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and best practices.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology for inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while also being self-motivated.
