The Warehouse Associate (Glass Technician) has a core responsibility for removing etched, printed, or laser-engraved manufacturer logos from automotive glass using approved tools and techniques. This role ensures glass panels are prepared for resale, reinstallation, or compliance with aftermarket customization requirements without compromising safety or visibility. This position may also perform shipping and receiving responsibilities as needed. Glass Technician Responsibilities: - Inspect automotive glass for logo placement and determine appropriate removal method (e.g., mechanical polishing, chemical etching, or light abrasives).
- Use specialized tools and materials such as glass polishers, buffing compounds, or micro-abrasion tools.
- Ensure removal is clean, without causing distortion, scratching, or weakening of the glass.
- Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines during the removal process.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and glass condition before and after removal.
- Coordinate with warehouse or installation teams to ensure glass is handled properly throughout the process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and tools.
- Report any issues such as cracks, pitting, or glass damage to the Warehouse Manager immediately.
Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities: - If in receiving area, ensures that proper receiving procedures are followed. This includes verifying the condition of inbound freight and documenting any damage, shortages, or over-shipments.
- If in receiving area, ensures that all product received is promptly placed in designated locations and inventory tags completed where applicable.
- Picking, staging, and verifying of the product and quantities for outbound orders. Also, ensures orders are filled accurately.
- De-kitting, banding, wrapping, restacking, repackaging, and labeling of customer products.
- Scans labels to show receipt of inventory.
- Ensures that aisles are kept clear.

Required Experience and Education: - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in glass repair, grinding, and polishing or a similar trade preferred.
- Familiarity with various abrasives and chemical safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and meet production targets.
- Physical ability to lift, handle, and maneuver glass panels safely and be able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures. At least two years’ of experience in the warehousing industry.
- At least 2 years of forklift experience is required.
- WMS experience preferred.
- Must be able to read, understand, and follow all procedures related to shipping and receiving forms.
- Must possess good communication skills.
- Must be team oriented.
- Must have good knowledge of arithmetic functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to all challenges that arise within the operation.
