    About Company

In 1981, the company started simply as G.E.Miller Electric. Then in 1992, hungry to have his own company, Matthew Romanoff left his family business – the Toledo based Romanoff Electric – to open Miller-Romanoff Electric. The company was modest in its beginning – a dozen hard working electrical tradesmen and several office staff members. Those humble beginnings grew into what is known today as the Romanoff Group.

While 1992 was an important year, 1998 was also an instrumental year in our company history. That was the year of growth and expansion into more than just the commercial electrical market. That year marked the beginning of a new company – Romanoff Electric Residential. Over the last sixteen years, Romanoff Electric Residential has become a major player in the residential arena.

As in the past, our successes fostered the creation of yet another Romanoff company. In 2002, Romanoff Heating & Cooling began installations in both the single-family and multi-family platforms. The same winning approach we maintained with both the Commercial and Residential Electrical companies was applied to the HVAC Company.

While most companies would consider that kind of growth a victory, and perhaps stay the course, the Romanoff Group continued to expand. In 2005, we opened shop in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2007, Romanoff Heating & Cooling of Charlotte was created, and directly from that came a flurry of military based projects across the nation from North Carolina to Texas and even as far as Alaska. In 2013, eager to continue to grow our brand and exceptional workmanship, we established two additional electrical residential offices that would cater to the Nashville, Tennessee area and the Raleigh, North Carolina area.

Simply put, Romanoff Group is an ever-evolving group of companies that since 1981, has dedicated itself to providing specialized electrical and heating & cooling services to customers and contractors across the nation. For 33 years, we have grown from a small local business to one of the foremost electrical and HVAC contractors in multiple states. Throughout that growth, we have maintained our local focus through our continued tradition of personal commitment to protecting the best interests of our customers by completing projects safely, on schedule and with outstanding craftsmanship.
