Warehouse Assistant – Enfield, CT

Location: Enfield, CT 06082
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Available Shifts (Full-Time):

  • Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Monday – Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Position Overview

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for general warehouse labor including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling within a distribution center. This role requires physical work, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards while supporting daily warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform shipping and receiving of products within the distribution center
  • Process UPS and LTL shipments including picking, packing, palletizing, and documentation
  • Receive incoming products, verify counts, and store in appropriate locations
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks
  • Conduct inventory control and cycle counting
  • Fulfill product sample shipment requests
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and pallet scales
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Follow all safety, health, environmental (SHE), and security procedures
  • Participate in audits to ensure compliance with facility standards
  • Learn and utilize warehouse systems (Oracle experience preferred)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills (PC literate); Oracle experience a plus
  • Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack (or willingness to learn)
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Ability to perform physical labor in a warehouse environment

Additional Information

  • Project duration through December 31, 2024
  • No opportunity for contract-to-hire
  • Drug screen and background check required
  • No additional physical fitness testing required
