Pay Range DOE: $17.00 - $22.00/hour 

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM - This is a temp-to-hire with the eligibility of full-time permanent placement.

Benefits: This position is eligible for Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act. All employees may also make pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) contributions to our retirement plan – must be 18 years of age to participate.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Assistant will support the Warehouse Manager and assist with daily warehouse operations. This is a hands-on position for an individual who is dependable and hardworking and who can work independently, take initiative, and help maintain efficient warehouse operations.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Pull, package, and load customer orders accurately.
  • Assist with all warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Receive, stock, and organize inventory.
  • Use barcode systems for inventory tracking.
  • Make local deliveries as needed.
  • Assist customers with will-call pickups.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Troubleshoot warehouse issues and identify solutions.
  • Support and provide backup coverage for the Warehouse Manager.
  • Help direct daily warehouse activities when needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and customer service.

Education:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

 

Experience:

  • Prior warehouse experience is required.
  • Prior forklift experience is required.
  • Prior leadership or training experience is preferred.

 

Other:

  • Ability to lift and move plastic materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrates consistent attendance, punctuality, and dependability in meeting work schedules and job responsibilities.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and accurately read and apply measurements to support warehouse operations and order fulfillment
  • Maintains a positive attitude, works collaboratively with others, and contributes to a productive, team-oriented work environment. 
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions with varying temperatures*.
  • The incumbent will be required and must have the ability to drive for company business*.

 

*Per auto vehicle insurance carrier requirements: For applicants/employees to qualify for inclusion on the Goodwill driver insurance schedule, for purpose of driving Goodwill fleet vehicles, or for purpose of receiving company mileage reimbursement they must be at least:
 

  • 21 years of age (not engaged in passenger transportation),
     
  • 25 – 70 years of age for all passenger transportation services,
     
  • 25 years of age for CDL.

 

Applicants/employee will be required to undergo a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and background check; applicants/employees must disclose all moving traffic violations or vehicle crashes (within the last five (5) years)(Note: not all violations are a disqualification for employment and each case will be reviewed by the insurance carrier); must have valid Colorado State driver license; must also be able to operate company vehicle, and adhere to all Federal, State, and local laws governing vehicle operation.

 

Applicants/employees using their personal vehicle for company business (receiving company mileage reimbursement), must have valid vehicle insurance, valid driver license, and vehicle must be in roadworthy condition.
