ApplyDescriptionGCCA is looking for an experienced VPK teacher. Someone who is enthusiastic about their job and truly loves what they do. We offer a very team-oriented environment at Gulf Coast Christian Academy. We have small, intimate classrooms to prevent teacher burnout. Lesson planning is a team effort to help with the workload.
Requirements
• Teachers must be proficient with FL Four Year Old Standards and able to teach to them. • You will be responsible for: • Cleaning your own classroom. • Maintaining positive relationships and communication with GCCA families. • Having materials for your lessons prepared. • Having a positive mindset and encouraging contributions. • Participating in trainings/continuing education.
Certifications and Requirements
In order to teach in a VPK class, you must have:
• Your CDA (Child Development Associate) certification. • Completed the new Early Literacy requirements. • Completed the new FAST (Florida Assessment for Students in Transition) training.
Work Environment and Expectations
Punctuality and attendance are a must. All candidates will need a background screening. CPR and first aid is required, but can be obtained after start date.
