The Vice President of Global Total Rewards is a high-impact, transformational leader accountable for the enterprise strategy, design, governance, and continuous optimization of Metas global Total Rewards function. Acting as a strategic advisor to the Chief People Officer and executive leadership team, this role is uniquely positioned to ensure our competitiveness in an AI-first talent world. Operating at the highest stakes, you will manage strategic priorities in a scarce talent market and lead critical rewards discussions with the Compensation Committee of the Board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executive Advisorship: Serve as the principal compensation advisor to the CEO, COO, and CFO, leveraging deep expertise to influence and drive top-level decisions.
- Board Leadership: Lead executive compensation strategy, governance, and presentations for the Compensation Committee of the Board.
- Visionary Thought Leadership: Drive internal strategy in the compensation and benefits space, rapidly innovating to stay ahead of shifting business and market realities.
- Strategic Partnership: Partner seamlessly with the Recruiting organization to architect and deliver a highly competitive, robust talent plan.
- Organizational Evolution: Evolve Metas job architecture-including leading the transition to AI-driven frameworks-to align with the changing nature of AI-impacted roles.
- Global Execution: Drive the flawless execution of our bi-annual compensation process and oversee the design, governance, and rollout of global sales incentive plans.
- Benefits Strategy: Lead the strategic development and continuous optimization of Metas global benefits programs.
- Team Development: Build, inspire, and develop the worlds most leading-edge Total Rewards team.
Qualifications:
- Executive Leadership Experience: 15+ years of progressive HR/Compensation experience, including prior VP-level leadership at a strategically led, complex global organization.
- Executive Compensation & Governance: Deep expertise in executive compensation design. Proven experience presenting to a Boards Compensation Committee and developing the Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A) for the annual Proxy.
- Global Total Rewards & Compliance: Extensive experience designing and managing broad-based compensation programs (global benefits experience is a strong plus). Deep understanding of regulatory compliance (e.g., ERISA, FLSA, SOX, ACA, SEC) and managing international scope, including global pay gap reporting.
- Organizational Transformation: A proven track record of leading large-scale organizational transformations. Must possess excellence in change management, a strong risk tolerance, and the courage to challenge established practices.
- Strategic & Technical Acumen: A strategic mindset capable of connecting total rewards strategies directly to business outcomes. Demonstrated creativity in program design, backed by exceptional executive-level influencing and partnership skills.
