This VP of Strategic Sourcing position is based in Nashville, TN, and carries accountability for a segment of a national GPO contract portfolio representing approximately $10 billion in spend volume. The role is an in-office position at Capital View in Nashville and reports directly to the COO, with leadership responsibility for a team of approximately 50 FTEs.

The role. Reporting to the COO, the VP sets strategic direction for an assigned segment of the GPO contract portfolio and leads execution of the annual work plan to deliver measurable savings, category expansion, and portfolio competitiveness across all care classes of trade. Day-to-day, this leader oversees the full contracting lifecycle — from negotiation strategy through finalization — ensuring contract terms meet the highest standards and that the portfolio maintains appropriate breadth, market competitiveness, and alignment with the committed model. The VP cultivates and maintains executive-level relationships with supplier partners, holding them accountable to agreed commitments while also championing member interests by integrating their clinical, operational, and financial objectives into contracting strategy. Collaboration spans a broad internal stakeholder group (C-suite, legal, finance, clinical, sales, and account management) as well as external supplier and member executives, physicians, and supply chain operators. The role is equally accountable for expanding the portfolio's scope to remain the most comprehensive and competitive in the industry while meeting and exceeding annual goals for savings and operational productivity.

What we're looking for.
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 15 years of experience in sourcing and contracting
  • At least 10 years of experience effectively managing teams
  • Healthcare and/or GPO experience required
  • Experience within a large, matrixed healthcare organization required
  • Demonstrated scope and breadth of spend management across multiple categories required
  • Strategic sourcing experience with RFI/RFP development, negotiation, contract administration, and execution required
  • Prior leadership experience at the AVP, VP, or Regional Sourcing Director level required
  • Process improvement experience required
  • Knowledge of supply chain operations, Item Master, accounts payable, and procurement functions preferred

Schedule. Full-time, Monday through Friday days with no weekend requirement; this is an in-office role based in Nashville, TN.

Compensation. $104.33 - $104.33/hr plus 30% bonus, LTI eligible.
