The client is seeking a VP Sales and Marketing to lead the USA business strategy and serve as the company's primary representative in the United States. The role will work closely with the VP of Finance and Administration and other executives in the group to develop, implement, and execute short-, mid-, and long-term plans for the USA business, ensuring alignment with the global strategy. Responsibilities include providing leadership for the organization in the US, directing sales and marketing functions, and managing budgets and staff. The VP Sales and Marketing will develop and execute the US strategy, oversee all sales and marketing activity to achieve performance objectives and company KPIs, and manage the sales and marketing team. The role will collaborate with other executives to evaluate business direction, meet with board members and executives as needed, and encourage business investment. The position will also act as the face of the company with customers and relevant stakeholders, develop and manage annual budgets in coordination with the VP of Finance and Administration, assign targets to support overall objectives, and ensure all activity aligns with brand standards and is compliant with state and federal liquor laws. The ideal candidate is a sales-leaning executive with consumer products experience, preferably in the adult beverage industry (ideally beer, though wine and spirits may also be considered). A bachelor's degree is required, with a graduate degree preferred, and the candidate should have at least 5 years of experience developing and managing sales forecasts and budgets, along with demonstrated ability to build customer relationships and achieve performance goals with limited supervision. The role also expects experience managing teams (at least 5 years), strong communication skills, advanced computer literacy, and willingness to travel up to 50% of working time; prior leadership titles and experience in smaller or start-up environments may be advantageous.
