Job Overview:

The VP of Technology provides strategic and operational leadership for Vivid Impact's technology organization, including IT, software development, quality assurance, and project management, while overseeing core platforms such as Precision POP and Digital Storefronts. This role is accountable for advancing how technology is built, delivered, and supported-driving greater speed, efficiency, and scalability. The VP of Technology will build and lead a high-performing operation that enables business growth, strengthens platform performance, and ensures long-term sustainability.

 

Work Schedule & Location:

This role offers flexibility based on location, while maintaining standard business hours.

  • Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

  • Louisville Area Candidates: This is a hybrid position with a regular in-office presence expected each week. Specific in-office days will be coordinated with the team.

  • Non-Louisville Candidates: This role will be primarily remote, with monthly travel to Louisville, KY required for in-person meetings and collaboration.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $210,000–$240,000 annual salary.
  • This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses tied to overall company performance.

What You'll Do:

  • Technology Strategy & Platform Leadership
    Define and execute a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with company growth. Lead the enhancement of core platforms, including Precision POP and Digital Storefronts.Guide build, buy, and partner decisions to improve speed, flexibility, and cost.

  • Product Development & Delivery
    Establish clear product ownership, prioritization, and road-mapping. Ensure consistent delivery of product features aligned with business value. Maintain internal ownership of product strategy and direction.

  • Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency 
    Establish development standards, QA processes, and documented practices. Introduce tools and process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and delivery speed. Streamline development workflows to reduce complexity and improve productivity. Drive continuous improvement across systems and processes.

  • Application Support & Performance
    Define and maintain a clear support model for applications. Ensure accountability for system performance, issue resolution, and enhancements. Monitor platform stability and drive ongoing improvements.

  • Team Leadership & Organizational Development
    Lead and develop a high-performing technology team. Align team focus on architecture, integration, and product ownership. Build a scalable organization that supports growth without unnecessary complexity.

 


 

What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience (Director, VP, or equivalent).
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing technology teams, including a blend of internal and external resources.
  • Experience leading technology organizations through growth and transformation.
  • Strong background in platform, SaaS, or enterprise application development.
  • Previous experience and knowledge with the TALL stack (Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Laravel, Livewire).
  • Demonstrated ability to improve delivery speed, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture and modern development practices.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to align technology initiatives to business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with modern development tools and platforms (e.g., low-code/no-code).
  • Experience in retail, logistics, print, or production environments strongly preferred.
