We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have an VP of Mortgage Operations with a Dallas based Mortgage Company.

The Vice President of Mortgage will lead a team of Loan Officers, Processors and Closers as well as Operations staff, to continue to grow our builder connected mortgage banking company.

Your specific duties will include:
  • Lead a team of Mortgage Loan Originators that are given leads to convert them to applications.
  • Inspire the Operations team to reach productivity, time and quality goals
  • Guide team members while they work with customers through the loan application process.
  • Develop information network within the Builder/Client to maintain high standard of communication, coordination and timely closings.
  • Develop referral networks to locate prospects for loans.
  • Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Lead the team who are responsible for the conditions review of Conventional, Non-Conforming, FHA, and VA loan files to ensure loan file contains all required documentation, meets acceptable regulatory standards, and complies with established guidelines prior to purchase.
  • Audit loan files to ensure the various reviews have been completed with accuracy.
Required qualifications for the position include:
  • Previous experience as a Loan Officer AND previous experience in Operations Management.
  • Previous experience in a Builder/Lender environment.
  • Familiarity with financial and Mortgage lending practices and regulations.
  • Must be able to motivate others to meet their job expectations and goals.
  • Ability to communicate clearly the status of files with Sr. Management.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients, builder salesforce and teammates.
  • Understanding of State, Local and Federal compliance standards.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.)
Minimum Experience/Education REQUIRED:
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • 6+ years of mortgage operations experience, with a thorough understanding of FHA, VA and Conforming mortgage loans.
  • Must have current Texas NMLS license.
