The Vice President of Clinical Operations and Patient Care Services is a registered nurse responsible for the organizations nursing and clinical support services. This position provides leadership and support to the clinical operations of Baltimore Medical Systems health delivery centers. In addition, the Vice President of Clinical Operations Patient Care Services oversees the organizations occupational health, care management and infection control programs. Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, the Vice President Clinical Operations and Patient Care Services ensures the organization implements and monitors policies/processes that align with evidenced-based guidelines, Patient Centered Medical Home models of care and Joint Commission standards. The Vice President ensures the health centers systems improve patient safety, patient access and the patient experience. In addition, the Vice President develops clinical competency standards, training and assessment for all nursing and support staff at Baltimore Medical System.
Required Education:
Completion of a 2 or 4 year nursing program required, or higher level program.
Masters degree in a healthcare or health policy field
Licensure/Certification.
R.N. licensed in the state of Maryland or compact state, or higher level license.
Required Experience:
Five (5) or more years of experience healthcare ( Four of which must have been in healthcare management.
Knowledge and experience with Joint Commission requirements, essential
Experience in Performance Improvement Management and Quality, essential
Experience with Electronic Health Records, essential
Experience in teaching Nursing or Medical Assistant staff, essential
Preferred Experience:
Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite
Patient Centered Medical Home recognition/accreditation experience, desired
Knowledge of Federally Qualified Health center requirements, desired
