Job Summary:

You will provide strategic leadership to Operational, Program, and Project Managers responsible for delivering large-scale fiber and data center infrastructure projects. This role oversees all aspects of project execution, including engineering, construction, permitting, maintenance, financial performance, and client satisfaction. Success in this role requires operational excellence, strong financial management, and the ability to lead large, multi-disciplinary teams while driving profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):

• Own profit and loss performance across large-scale FTTX and data center construction programs
• Plan, organize, and monitor program objectives to ensure successful delivery on time, on budget, and to contractual quality standards
• Utilize KPIs and metrics to track operational performance, financial health, and project milestones
• Manage contract compliance, scope changes, risk mitigation, and client change orders
• Oversee project closeout activities including as-builts, restoration, permits, retainage, and contract completion
• Maintain executive-level client relationships and conduct regular progress review meetings
• Drive invoicing, collections, budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and profitability improvements across the division
• Support strategic growth planning, competitive bid development, and business expansion initiatives
• Lead and mentor Program and Project Managers, including hiring, coaching, training, and performance management
• Establish and enforce project management disciplines, policies, and tools to support world-class execution
• Ensure safety compliance, quality assurance, and OSHA compliance across all projects
• Oversee vendor negotiations, network design, estimating, and resource allocation to maximize profitability
• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs

Required Qualifications:

Education, Licensing, and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering, construction, and project management with proven operational and financial leadership
• Minimum 5 years in an operations management role
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven experience managing projects ranging from $25M to $250M+ in annual revenue responsibility
• Demonstrated success in FTTX construction project bidding, execution, and delivery

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of operational management, project profitability, and forecasting models
• Ability to interpret financial, production, and performance data
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills
• Proven ability to build, lead, and coach multidisciplinary teams
• Strong business management knowledge in the FTTX and telecom construction sector
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, staffing, training, and safety compliance
• Ability to travel as required for business needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of telecom construction experience
• Experience with Site Tracker or similar project management platforms
• Advanced experience creating forecasting models and budgets
• Strong understanding of utility construction contracting and self-perform operations

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working at a desk and computer
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods as needed
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to travel as required to project sites and business meetings
• Must be able to pass DOT background checks and any other required screenings
