A privately held infrastructure platform is seeking a Vice President of Commercial / Business Development to lead strategic growth initiatives across a national portfolio of energy and aviation-related infrastructure assets.
This executive will drive full-cycle transaction execution, including greenfield and brownfield developments, public-private partnership (PPP) structures, and acquisition opportunities. The role requires a proven deal leader who thrives in complex regulatory environments and can balance strategic vision with disciplined execution.
This opportunity is ideal for a commercial executive coming from either the midstream refined products sector or the aviation infrastructure/fueling ecosystem.
The Vice President of Commercial / Business Development will lead origination, structuring, negotiation, and closing of complex infrastructure transactions while overseeing and developing the existing commercial team.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong financial acumen, regulatory understanding, and the ability to operate in a lean, performance-driven environment.
Lead full-cycle greenfield and brownfield infrastructure transactions
Source, evaluate, and execute M&A opportunities and strategic partnerships
Conduct due diligence, valuation analysis, and financial modeling
Structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements and long-term concession frameworks
Develop pricing and contract strategies to maximize asset performance and profitability
Identify new market entry opportunities and expansion initiatives
Build innovative commercial models and new revenue streams
Support capital allocation decisions and board-level investment approvals
Develop executive-level relationships with:
Airport authorities
Airlines
Energy suppliers
Infrastructure investors
Regulatory bodies
Represent the organization at industry events and conferences
Lead and develop a high-performing commercial team
Establish accountability and execution discipline
Operate as both player and coach in a fast-moving environment
10+ years of progressive commercial experience within:
Midstream refined products
Aviation fueling and airport infrastructure
Infrastructure development and PPP environments
Minimum 5 years leading commercial teams
Demonstrated track record of closing complex infrastructure transactions
Experience structuring long-term commercial agreements and concession models
Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities
Deep understanding of regulatory and contractual frameworks in energy or aviation infrastructure
Ability to travel up to 75% initially
