Volunteer Workshop Facilitators - Summer Intern Training (Detroit)

We are seeking volunteer workshop facilitators and trainers to support our Summer Intern Orientation and Training Week for youth ages 14–24 who will serve as camp counselors in Detroit.

Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, June 29–July 3, 2026 | 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Volunteers will lead interactive workshops and training sessions on youth development, leadership, teamwork, professional skills, safety, and creating engaging environments for campers.

Responsibilities may include:

• Leading or co-facilitating training workshops (12–4 PM)
• Supporting youth leadership and engagement activities
• Sharing professional experience and skills
• Assisting with group discussions and team-building exercises

Ideal volunteers have experience in:

• Youth development, mentoring, education, or coaching
• Leadership training or workforce development
• Social work, nonprofit work, or related fields
• Working with teens and young adults (ages 14–24)

This opportunity offers volunteers a chance to mentor emerging youth leaders, share expertise, and support a meaningful community program. Session details and materials will be provided prior to training week.
