JOB TITLE: Volunteer Coordinator

STATUS: Salary Non-Exempt; 12- month, Administrative Calendar
STATUS: Full Time (40hrs) 7:30am- 4:00pm

Purpose Statement: Our Volunteer Coordinator is a strategic partner with CCA to help recruit and increase volunteer involvement, providing a welcoming, organized, and engaging experience for each person while maintaining clear communication as the liaison and volunteer point-person for each school.
Scope: This position interacts with the student body, parents, church staff, pastors, church body, and school faculty. This person will predominantly work with early education, elementary, middle, and high school staff in an ongoing manner to encourage, guide, and supervise the CCA volunteer process.
Responsibilities:
Oversee volunteer operations across all CCA campuses, organizing and structuring the full volunteer process from onboarding through ongoing engagement Coordinate volunteer recruiting efforts in partnership with individual schools and campus leaders Manage and utilize key systems, including Ministry Platform, Ministry Safe, and Blackbaud, to support volunteer coordination and maintain accurate records Ensure accuracy and integrity of all volunteer data across platforms and databases Conduct fingerprinting and background screenings for all parent volunteers, student volunteers, school chaperones, and contractors Maintain annual CJIS Certification and ensure compliance with all screening requirements Review and verify clearance documentation, including screening results and training completions Ensure all volunteers meet required training and certification standards prior to campus participation Facilitate the volunteer process and maintain compliance with overall organizational policies and procedures Serve as a liaison for Community Engagement events and volunteer needs Coordinate sign-ups for school-wide volunteer opportunities (e.g., SignUpGenius) Liaison with Parent-2-Parent Council, engaging with the P2P team, partnering in recruiting and/or engaging them in volunteer opportunities. Provide regular updates and communication regarding volunteer status and needs to administrators Serve as the primary point of contact and resource for volunteers, fostering strong relationships through consistent, personal communication Assist with communication, printed material, T-shirts and badges, website updates, managing volunteer database, and all administrative duties as it pertains to the Volunteer Coordinator role. Organize and manage materials for new CCA families to introduce volunteer opportunities Publish and distribute a weekly volunteer newsletter to communicate opportunities and needs Perform additional department-related and administrative duties as assigned

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Work Schedule: Full time (40 hours/week); the work schedule may vary depending on events and needs but core hours are during the normal school schedule, Monday thru Friday 7:30 to 4:00.
