Position Summary:
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, placement of volunteers, and coordination of resources with department contacts to support the Craig Hospital Volunteer program. This position is responsible for working with high schools and universities to select, onboard, train, and evaluate student interns coming in through the volunteer department. In addition, the Volunteer Coordinator will serve as a liaison between community and corporate groups, which includes managing donations and coordinating group volunteer events. The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the Annual Volunteer Appreciation during National Volunteer Week including events, gifts, and various other appreciation.The Volunteer Coordinator is also responsible for performing duties such as coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, coordinating direct mailings, greeting visitors, staff and physicians and work on special projects. This position will also provide assistance and back-up for the Gift Shop Coordinator.

Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines, while effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities, prioritize appropriately and manage frequent interruptions. Good problem-solving skills, detail oriented and excellent follow-through. Ability to relate to persons of all ages and diverse backgrounds, skills and abilities. Ability to present self in a personable and professional manner. Must be able to successfully and effectively communicate with a variety of personnel. Ability to deal with diverse and confidential information with discretion and good judgment. Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in all Microsoft Office products.Perform high level administrative support duties including preparation of presentations, communications, documents, reports, and spreadsheets; complete diverse and complex assignments with limited direction; plan and implement projects within the department.

Pay Range: $21.59/hour - $31.09/hour
