QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have the ability to understand, follow, and relay oral and written instructions.
Must have sufficient physical strength and ability to perform a variety of routine coaching tasks.
Must have a valid Alabama Substitute Teacher license.
Must be a high school or college graduate or have GED equivalent.
Must be requested by a Principal and complete all HR processing in order to serve in the role of Volunteer Coach.
Previous coaching and/or volunteer coaching experience is preferred.
Must bring a valid current driver's license or Non driver's identification card and Social Security Card to Human Resources upon request.
Must provide official high school or college transcripts with Graduation Date or GED (with scores).
DUTIES: The duties include but are not limited to:
SALARY: THIS IS A VOLUNTEER POSITION AND ANYONE PROCESSED INTO IT WILL NOT BE PAID.

Applicants selected for volunteer positions must undergo (or have undergone) an ASBI/FBI criminal history background check (fingerprinting administered through sites selected and approved by the MCPSS and State of Alabama Education Department) and be declared suitable and fit to teach under state law. Applicants selected must also pass a drug-screening test via forms provided by Human Resources during the selection process.
