Volunteer Board Members provide governance, oversight, and strategic guidance to support the organization's mission and sustainability. They do not participate in daily operations or instruction. This role is ideal for nursing, public health, pre-health students, or early-career professionals seeking nonprofit leadership experience.
Responsibilities include attending quarterly meetings (virtual or hybrid), reviewing organizational plans and policies, supporting ethical oversight, serving as a thought partner to the Executive Director, and acting in the best interest of the organization and community.
Qualifications involve an interest in community health, emergency preparedness, or public service, with the ability to commit to quarterly meetings, review documents, and participate in discussions. Prior board experience is not required.
This is a volunteer position offering nonprofit governance experience, resume enhancement, and community leadership exposure. The initial one-year term may be renewed.
