Voice & Data Lead Technician Take Charge in the Field

About the Opportunity
Our client partner has spent more than two decades building a strong presence in structured cabling, electronic security, and AV systems throughout Texas. Known for consistent quality and long-term client relationships, they invest heavily in their workforce through hands-on training and industry certifications, including BICSI. With a steady pipeline of commercial projects, they offer clear advancement into roles like Superintendent and Project Manager.
What You ll Be Doing
Lead and direct crews of Helpers and Level I, II, and III Technicians on active job sites
Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling systems
Perform advanced terminations and ensure all work meets industry standards
Conduct Fluke testing, certification, and documentation
Oversee rack-and-stack builds and MDF/IDF installations
Plan cable pathways including ladder rack, cable tray, and routing layouts
Interpret blueprints and manage day-to-day production goals
Communicate progress, materials, and updates with Project Managers and Superintendents
Maintain job site safety, organization, and high-quality workmanship
What We re Looking For
3+ years of structured cabling / voice & data installation experience
Proven ability to lead crews and manage commercial installations
Strong knowledge of copper and fiber terminations and testing
Experience with Fluke testing and documentation
Familiarity with EIA/TIA standards and best practices
Ability to manage schedules and keep projects on track
Strong communication and leadership skills
Reliable transportation
BICSI certification is a plus
