About the Position
Provide educational and training programming to individuals/clients in MSH Continued Treatment Service Treatment Mall programs in order to improve and maintain skills needed to prepare for and transition to more independent and less restrictive environment. Provide hands on experiences to improve/restore living skills for transition from a hospital environment to a community environment. Responsible for operating the following: Office equipment, telephone equipment, household equipment, computer, and transportation vehicle. Primarily in climate controlled office or client building. Exposure to behavior of unpredictable individuals lacking self-control. Must be able to interact and perform duties effectively with a wide variety of personalities and broad social strata; must be able to communicate effectively; must have good organizational and multi-tasking skills; must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations. Light work: may frequently walk or stand and/or frequently exert force equivalent to lifting up to approximately 10 pounds and/or occasionally exert force equivalent to lifting up to approximately 20 pounds. Vision: requires the ability to perceive the nature of objects by the eye; clarity of vision at 20 inches or less (with correction); and ability to adjust the eye to bring objects into sharp focus. Speaking/Hearing: Ability to give and receive information through speaking and listening skills. Motor Coordination: regularly required to sit and use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; frequently required to walk and to reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to stand; climb; or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or bend.
