- Familiar with Federal, State and Local laws and regulations as they apply to the community residence program and agency policies
- Provides vocational services and consultation as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. visits clients in their home and other settings required.
- Familiar with OMH regulations
- Responsible for integrating vocational goals and services
- Provides aid and assistance through all phases of the vocational service provision
- Performing routine clinical services as a member of the Team
- Responsible for charting client services
- Responsible Vocational portion or all creating the service plan
- Responsible for integrating vocational goals and services with the tasks of all the team members
- Responsible for ensuring revisions to the plan as the participants’ needs change
- Advocating on the rights and preferences of the participant whenever possible
- Responsible for creating a monthly spreadsheet with names of tenants and their employment status
- Follow-up quarterly with all employed tenants
- Assist with making monthly contact with tenants as needed
- Participate in bi-weekly monthly meeting
- Participate in monthly supervision to address any work-related tasks or concerns
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- HS diploma or GED required
- Three years’ experience with homeless population
- Ability to work with a culturally diverse population
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree is Human Services field preferred,
- Familiarity of NYC public school system preferred
- Experience in residential setting, group work, tenant organization, case management, referral,
- and/or community outreach strongly preferred
